Melancholy Hyperbole

Poetry about longing.

This Picture Of Us

G in a golden windbreaker
rolled dungarees ditto
H his arm thickening G
faces lit for low sky
shutter speed
for first days delicate
like almanac dates

marching diagonal grey
on the reverse side
old fashioned perhaps
this permanent paper
of twin smiles
background echoing
sand dunes sand dunes
