Love sometimes requires
a fire to quench a fire,
sometimes requires
a flirtation in the kitchen
to keep the wanton race
of body parts in check
and out of the public space,
or lets you exhaust yourself
in immolation in one moment
so the raging flames of desire
do not burn the whole field.
