Dream stories are an endless cask pulsing between blackness
and blindness: shades of orchid drowned in sleep. Or the leafy
weeds I pulled from duller greens beside the barn. Prized as fans
in our chemical heat. But I chose them
for art.
The concept was to paint death as it rose between us
laughing in the kitchen
vein to vein.
